Scholarships

The Woman’s Club of San Antonio supports the Department of Services for Women and Non-Traditional Students at San Antonio College in San Antonio.  This department provides services for women and non-traditional students including single parents, displaced homemakers, first-generation college students, residents of public housing, dislocated workers, and other individuals needing support to succeed in a college environment.

A wide range of services are offered to include academic advisement, academic skills development, career counseling, transportation and textbook assistance for qualified participants, childcare referrals, parenting support programs, workshops, educational re-entry services, community resource referrals, scholarship resources, employability skills development, GED services, outreach conferences, and other special programming.

Services are designed to empower women and other non-traditional populations to enter college, to retain their courses, and to complete their programs of study.

Each year, the Woman’s Club donates $10,000 to support scholarships for students through this department.  We welcome each year's scholarship recipients to a our June General Membership luncheon and enjoy the chance to meet these incredible women.
